This policy covers vocationandvirtue.org, operated by Christopher J. Ewing, PhD (Central Florida). It explains what information is collected when you visit or interact with this site, why it is collected, and what rights you have regarding that information.
Publication notification signup. If you submit your email address to be notified when Called to Lead is available, that address is stored along with the date and time of submission and your country (determined automatically from your IP address by Cloudflare). It is used solely to send you one email when the book is available. It is not used for marketing, shared with third parties, or added to any other list unless you explicitly opt in to the launch list at the same time.
Launch list signup. If you opt in to the launch list — occasional publication updates, selected excerpts, and launch-week information — your email address is stored separately from the publication notification list, along with the date of signup and country. This list receives a small number of messages per year. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing chris@vocationandvirtue.org.
Engagement inquiry form. If you submit the contact or speaking inquiry form, the following is stored: your name, email address, organization, type of engagement, approximate group size, timeframe, and any message you include. This information is used to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.
Web analytics. This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service. It collects aggregate data about page visits — pages viewed, referrers, browser type, country — without tracking individual users across sessions or using cookies. No personal data is collected through this mechanism.
Email signups and inquiry submissions are stored in Cloudflare Workers KV, a key-value database operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Inquiry alert emails are delivered through Postmark (ActiveCampaign, LLC). Both services are located in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, your data is transferred to the United States for storage and processing.
Email addresses on the notification and launch lists are kept until you request deletion or until the list is no longer in use. Inquiry submissions are kept indefinitely for reference unless you request deletion.
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data this site holds about you. To exercise any of these rights, email chris@vocationandvirtue.org with your request. Deletion requests will be honored within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
This site does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie for security purposes (bot detection). No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes materially, the updated date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
